One of the best budget options to get into the Ryzen platform. It has robust VRM and can handle up to 2700X with ease. The RAM support is also quite good. The RGB software is also quite advanced with decent pre-configured effects. This is a budget board but with high-end components for stability. I was able to overclock my Ryzen 5 2600 to 4.3Ghz on this board with relative ease. The MSI software package is also quite good and concise.
Just got this little beast at the beginning of this year. I am a student of VFX production and most of my time goes sitting in front of the system compositing and rendering different pieces together. I reviewed a lot of other products and finally came to settle for this. The MSI B450M works perfectly with my Ryzen 5 2600x with its onboard AM4 socket. It supports up to 32gb of primary memory with speed up to 3466Mhz(OC). It got 2x M.2 slot and 4x SATA port which supports my Samsung V-nand 860 EVO SSD. It contains 2x USB 2.0, 4x USB 3.1(gen1), 1x USB3.1(Gen2) and a USB3.1(Gen2) of type C (never used it though). The system remains cool even while heavy workload. Also, it supports 8 channel(7.1) HD audio output with an audio boost perfect for a sound system setup for my editing needs. The PCI-E 3.0x16 slot goes well and good with my RTX 2060 graphics card to cater my gaming needs. The motherboard is really good for its price and is also ready to gear up with the upgrades in the years to come.
