I decided to buy the buy the B450 Tomahawk Max because I decided to start to build a gaming PC.
For the most part, the motherboard is great. There are 2 things that annoy me, though. The boot time of the Operating system is considerably slow, even when I have the OS on an SSD. I've seen many others complain about the same thing, where boot times are near 30 seconds. Secondly, I have a WiFi adaptor. I use ethernet mostly, but for testing some stuff, I need WiFi. But all of the ports were being used, so I kept the adaptor plugged into the Flash-Bios port. Because of this, my machine has given me bluescreen errors, and ever since I've removed the adaptor from the port, no such issues.
Apart from these 2 things, the motherboard is great and a would recommend it.
Great motherboard specifications for the price!
The go-to option for Ryzen 3rd Gen processors as the x570 series motherboards are costly as hell.
Few things to note:
Only 1 USB 3 port on the motherboard
Only 1 M.2 port on the motherboard
No 3 pin ARGB ports provided.
Low price beast performance, comes with a rgb mystic lights, this is win for a budget gamer like me
Installation was a breeze in my Corsair 175R cabinet. LEDs are super awesome. Mystic light works great on windows 10. Nothing more a budget gamer would ask for at this price. XMP and boost really help in intensive applications.
Just bought this mobo, my first AMD product. For me its about the price and what it can do. Budget and performance-wise this mobo is a beast. The extended heatsink, the mystic light is easy to control even for a noobie like me.
