will this ups can give me atleast of 5 mins backup
A. Depends on the PSU you will be using. If it is 650w then you will be needing 1.5 kva.

Q. Hi
My new apc bx1100c ups is working fine but i have only 1 issue that whenever i switch on it ,it performs self test for around 10second and a green light flashes everysecond and then it turns on. It do this process everytime i switch on the ups.
Is this normal or my unit is having some issue

I checked my pc power consumption using online tool by filling all my pc details (except detail of power supply,as it was not asked there)and it come out to be 250w but even then my 600va ups is not able to take load of it even for a second ,i am unable to understand the issue. I also get my ups checked in shop and it is easily taking load of 320w as checked by shop owner. Do power supply is taking more load.can anyone help me regarding my issue
A. The PSU is a hardware that requires full wattage of power to function, the quantity merely fluctuate whilst usage but it is always advised to select a UPS which is at-least 100w more that the PSU.
